The Colour Collection is a series of 9 paintings focusing on the pure joy of colour and mark making. After completing a collection of portraits for my ‘Flow River Flow’ solo show in 2015, I realised how intently I needed to explore a series without any boundaries, including the boundaries of fear which we all put upon ourselves. Therefore, I would say this is a collection I have always wanted to create but not been brave enough to start. They represent freedom, and new beginnings, and finding myself as an Artist.
